On October 19, Tetsuo Morimoto, Chairman of Eco Lease Co., Ltd., and several Eco Lease employees arrived with a truck fully loaded with newly harvested rice that they had purchased directly from an acquaintance.
“This year, rice prices have become more stable compared to last year, so we were able to bring a large quantity. Last year we worked in Noto, and this year in Kumamoto. The people affected by these disasters have truly been through very difficult times,” said Chairman Morimoto.
Today, we were able to deliver:
20 bags of rice (30 kg each, totaling 600 kg) to Food Bank Tokushima.
20 bags of rice (30 kg each, totaling 600 kg) to Tokushima Children's Home, a residential childcare facility.
5 bags of rice (30 kg each, totaling 150 kg) to Créer, a specified non-profit organization that also operates children's cafeterias and other community support programs.
Although rice prices have stabilized this year, the prices of other foods, including vegetables, have risen sharply. Organizations that support children's cafeterias and families facing financial hardship are finding it increasingly difficult to continue their activities. We were also told that residential childcare facilities are struggling to manage meal expenses for the children in their care. While luxury goods are one thing, the continuing rise in the cost of everyday food clearly reflects the difficult situation facing Japan today.
We are deeply grateful to Chairman Morimoto of Eco Lease Co., Ltd. for his generous support again this year.
Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity.

On October 25, Mr. Tetsuo Morimoto, Chairman of Eco Lease Co., Ltd., together with Eco Lease employees, arrived with a truck fully loaded with newly harvested rice (unmilled brown rice).
According to Chairman Morimoto:
"Rice prices have been more stable this year than last year, so we were able to bring a larger quantity. Last year I had the opportunity to work in Noto, and this year in Kumamoto. I truly feel for the people affected by these disasters and the hardships they continue to face."
On the same day, 20 bags of rice were delivered to Food Bank Tokushima, 20 bags to Tokushima Children's Home, and 5 bags to NPO Créer.
We also delivered 5 bags to Jomanji Temple in Kaiyo Town, Tokushima Prefecture. The temple operates without parishioners and is dedicated to promoting the spirit of Buddhism through Zen practice. We were told that brown rice porridge is served to participants after zazen meditation sessions.
Both Rev. Otsuki, who rebuilt Jomanji Temple, the oldest Zen temple in Shikoku, and Fumio Kondo, founder of Taiyo to Midori no Kai, who supported its restoration, emphasized the importance of personal growth and self-discipline through Zen meditation.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Chairman Morimoto of Eco Lease Co., Ltd. for his generous support.
Thank you very much for your kindness and continued support.
